The Siteworks Solution
Siteworks began by locating services and setting out the driveway to confirm alignment, levels, and construction requirements.
The existing driveway area was excavated to approximately 300 mm below finished surface level. An initial stabilising layer was placed to prepare the subgrade and create a suitable base for construction. Timber boxing was then installed to define the driveway shape, alignment, and finished levels.
A 150 mm layer of basecourse was placed within the boxing to form the structural foundation of the pavement. This base layer was prepared to support long term vehicle use and allow the permeable concrete system to perform correctly.
Once the required levels and falls had been achieved, approximately 200 m² of 150 mm thick permeable concrete was placed and finished. Black oxide was included in the mix, giving the driveway a clean, refined appearance that suited the newly built home.
